The club released the kit via a social media video made with the family of Sandra Peña, a Betis season-ticket holder who took her own life in October 2025 after reporting bullying episodes.

The official statement stresses the shirt isn’t just a Holy Week tribute but also a show of support for those facing bullying. The video ends with the line: "Never lose hope," set to the march Siempre la Esperanza, dedicated to Seville’s Esperanza de Triana.

A campaign with real impact

The kit launch is linked to an initiative by the Real Betis Balompié Foundation and the Spanish Association for Bullying Prevention (AEPAE). During the 2026/27 season, four prevention workshops will run for the men’s and women’s youth teams and the club’s football schools, training young players as change agents.

AEPAE will also hold the Bullying Prevention Conference in Seville, where it will present a report on Spain’s situation since the first high-profile bullying-related suicide 22 years ago. Later in the season, it will launch a summer therapeutic camp for bullying victims, staffed by specialists.
