Real Betis Balompié negotiating loan for Fábio Silva to bolster attack

Real Betis Balompié is in talks with Borussia Dortmund for the loan of Fábio Silva, a 24-year-old Portuguese forward valued at €22.5 million. The club is looking to strengthen its attack before the transfer window closes, and Silva is one of the options being considered. The player, who joined Dortmund in 2025 for that amount, is seeking more playing time.

Silva already has experience in LaLiga, where he scored 10 goals in 24 matches with UD Las Palmas in the 2024/25 season. In his first season in Germany, he scored 3 goals and provided 7 assists in 39 matches. His versatility and knowledge of the league make him an attractive profile for the Seville-based team, which finished fifth in the last LaLiga season with 46 points.

The main challenge is the competition. Real Sociedad is also interested in Silva, and his contract with Dortmund until 2030 gives the German club leverage to demand financial guarantees. Betis must structure a viable deal and overcome offers from other teams, such as Villarreal and Deportivo.

The club must finalize the negotiation soon, as the market is in its decisive phase. Meanwhile, the team is preparing for the Champions League after a season in which they scored 45 goals and conceded 38. With players like Abdessamad Ezzalzouli and Aitor Ruibal sidelined, Silva could be a key reinforcement.
