Real Betis Balompié has joined LALIGA and Bloomsbury Football Foundation's development project to support grassroots football in North London. The collaboration aims to transform the future of young players and improve accessibility to football. The project will continue its social and sports development plan for the program's technical staff. Real Betis Balompié has joined this initiative for a fourth consecutive year, which was officially inaugurated by LALIGA and Bloomsbury Football Foundation. This community alliance supports grassroots football in North London. The collaboration between Spain's top football competition and the UK's charitable sports development organization, along with a record 16 LALIGA clubs, continues to work towards transforming the future of young players and improving accessibility to football. With the support of FUNDACIÓN LALIGA and CVC, the alliance continues to drive the transformative impact of Bloomsbury Football Foundation, which currently works with over 6,000 young people in London every week. Through this agreement, the organizations will continue to host tournaments for young players and girls from all over the North London area. FUNDACIÓN LALIGA will once again contribute to improving the skills of project members through a training program focused on promoting positive values of football and its application in daily life and the use of sports as a tool for social inclusion. Making football accessible is a key objective of the project, and therefore economic scholarships will be awarded to 45 boys and girls to participate in the program. To start the new season, LALIGA, Bloomsbury Football Foundation, and FUNDACIÓN LALIGA organized an Opening Day at the two London venues: Acland Burghley School (Tufnell Park) and Harris Academy (St John's Wood). Players, coaches, and staff received their new materials and equipment from Keegan Pierce, LALIGA's International Relations Director, and Charlie Hyman, Bloomsbury Football Foundation's founder and executive director. The events were held simultaneously at both venues, showcasing the growth and increasing projection of the program. This season, 16 Spanish clubs from three divisions will participate, highlighting LALIGA's continued commitment to promoting accessibility to football at the international level. The young people in the area received the official kits of Athletic Club, RCD Espanyol, Atlético de Madrid, Real Betis, RCD Mallorca, Valencia CF, CA Osasuna, Deportivo Alavés, Villarreal CF, RC Celta, Real Oviedo, Girona FC, RC Deportivo, CD Leganés, Granada CF, and the current champion, CD Tenerife. This season will see the return of tournaments at the two North London venues, as well as a competition exclusive to girls in collaboration with schools, reinforcing the commitment of both organizations to the growth of women's football. Highlighting the annual growth of this alliance, CVC, a global philanthropic program, maintains its support for the 2025/26 season. Charlie Hyman, founder and executive director of Bloomsbury Football Foundation, stated that 'the conviction in the power of football to transform the lives of young people is what makes this alliance continue to grow year after year.
