Real Betis Balompié revealed on Monday the first list of 28 players traveling to Germany to start pre‑season. The squad includes goalkeepers Pau López, Valles and Guilherme, and the club’s new signing Fran García, who will join in the coming days.

How will the preparation be structured?

The pre‑season began on 7 July with medical checks and will be split into three camps. Afterwards the group returns to the Luis del Sol Sports City (20‑25 July) and finishes the Spanish phase in Marbella (27 July‑1 August). Which friendly matches are scheduled?

Betis will play six preparation games. After Sportfreunde Lotte, the traditional Trofeo Colombino against Recreativo de Huelva is set for 22 July. Three days later, Betis visits Granada CF at Los Cármenes (25 July). In Marbella, on 29 July, they face Olympique Lyon in La Línea de la Concepción. The toughest test comes against Arsenal at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on 5 August, and the official season opener will be a presentation match versus AFC Bournemouth on 8 August at La Cartuja.
