The green jersey features the inscription "Verde Esperanza" (Green Hope) on the collar, reflecting the anti-bullying campaign led by the Real Betis Balompié Foundation and the Spanish Association for the Prevention of School Bullying (AEPAE). The club, currently 5th in La Liga with 60 points (15W-15D-8L), aims to raise awareness of a global issue affecting nearly one in three students, according to UNESCO.
What does this jersey symbolize?
The new kit stands out not only for its green color but also for its traditional elements inspired by Seville’s sacred art. Its release coincides with a social project that includes workshops for youth, a school bullying prevention day, and a therapeutic summer camp for victims. The sale of 365 jerseys-one for each day of the year-will help fund these initiatives.
Why is this campaign important?
Real Betis Balompié, with 59 goals scored and 48 conceded this season, has chosen to use its platform to raise awareness about bullying. Collaboration with the Seville Local Police in the "Agente Tutor" project and educational talks through the "Del Cole al Betis" program reinforce its social commitment. Sandra Peña’s family has actively participated in this project, which aims to turn young people into agents of change.
